Email support@grassly.info. It helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version and the Grassly version, which you'll find at the bottom of Settings in the app. If a scan went wrong, tell us roughly when it happened.

Getting a good scan

Grassly isn't sure what my grass is

Grassly asks for another photo when it can't tell. Get down low, in daylight, and fill the frame with a few blades so the leaf tips and the base of the blade are sharp. Avoid freshly mown grass if you can: longer blades show more.

The result looks wrong

Tap "Not right?" on the result. Grassly can look at the same photos again, or you can suggest the grass you think it is. There's no need to go back outside.

The scan won't start

Scanning needs an internet connection and your permission for photo analysis. Check Settings in Grassly: Photo analysis should be on. There is also a daily limit per iPhone to keep the service fair; it resets after 24 hours.

Subscription and billing

Cancel or change your subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Grassly. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.

Restore on a new iPhone

Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Grassly and tap Restore Purchases on the Premium screen.

Refunds

Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your data

Where is my data?

On your iPhone. Grassly has no accounts, so your lawns, scans and plans aren't stored on our servers. Photos are sent for analysis when you scan and aren't kept afterwards. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Delete everything

Delete the Grassly app from your iPhone. That removes your lawns, photos, scans, plans and reminders. There is no account to close. To ask about anything else we might hold, such as an email conversation, write to support@grassly.info.

Turn off photo analysis

In Grassly, open Settings and switch off Photo analysis. Nothing more is sent until you switch it back on.

Tracking for ad measurement

When you first open Grassly, your iPhone asks whether Grassly may track you. We use it only to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and Grassly works the same whatever you choose. To change your answer, open your iPhone's Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

Weather and location

Forecasts come from MET Norway for the town you choose. Grassly doesn't need your street address, and location access is optional: you can type your town instead. To change towns, tap the place name under today's call on the Home screen.
